About The Position

Tri Delta is seeking a Social Media Specialist to develop and execute content strategies that strengthen engagement, grow brand visibility and bring Tri Delta's story to life across digital platforms. This role combines content creation with strategic planning, executing everything from monthly content calendars and publishing schedules to identifying and capitalizing on real-time social opportunities. The ideal candidate is both a creative storyteller and a highly organized project manager who can balance long-term planning with agile execution. The role is remote eligible. Candidates must be physically located in the US and eligible to work in the US without sponsorship. While this position is primarily remote, it includes regular travel throughout the year to national events, chapter locations, and organizational initiatives to capture content in real time. When on location, the role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends and extended hours to document events as they happen.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field is required.
Strong hands-on ability to create compelling content ‚Äî photo, video, graphics, and copy, tailored to each platform's format and audience.
Proficiency in video production tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and podcast editing platforms.
Strong visual storytelling and creative direction skills.
Strong understanding of digital content planning, scheduling, and alignment with organizational goals.
Ability to develop content strategies that support brand awareness and audience engagement.
Proficiency with social media scheduling and publishing tools.
Ability to manage consistent, polished posting cadence across multiple platforms.
Knowledge of audience behavior, content trends, and digital engagement best practices.
Ability to monitor and respond to audience interactions in digital spaces.
Innovative mindset with a passion for exploring and leveraging emerging digital platforms.
Excellent collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with PR, engagement, and content teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey ideas and feedback effectively.
Ability to audit and assess content performance and relevance.
Strategic thinker who can align content initiatives with broader organizational goals.
1-3 years of experience in digital content creation, multimedia production, or digital marketing.
Proven experience creating and executing digital content across platforms such as social media, podcasts, and video.
Candidates must be physically located in the US and eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
Successful completion of a background check and drug test.

Nice To Haves

Additional coursework or certification in video production, content strategy, or digital marketing is a plus.
Familiarity with nonprofit or membership-based organizations is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Create compelling, on-brand content, including photo, video, graphics, and copy, or use across all Tri Delta digital platforms.
Capture content live and on-site at events, ensuring authentic, timely storytelling.
Create and direct engaging video content for Tri Delta platforms.
Support the management of video editing vendors.
Develop monthly content plans in close collaboration with the Brand Advancement team to ensure content supports Tri Delta's strategic plan, editorial calendar, and department priorities.
Serve as point of contact for collaboration with collegiate and alumnae chapters to solicit content needs and leverage member user content on social platforms.
Maintain a strong, recognizable visual identity across all social platforms, ensuring each feed is polished, on-brand, and aesthetically compelling.
Collaborate on the content calendar to align digital content with other planned brand advancement opportunities.
Promote and extend the Tri Delta brand through compelling, measurable digital content across platforms.
Oversee the digital content internship program by regularly engaging collegiate content creators, assigning content requests, defining scope and timelines, and delivering constructive feedback to ensure high-quality, on-brand output.
Post and schedule content across all Tri Delta digital and social platforms, maintaining a consistent and strategic publishing cadence.
Regularly audit Tri Delta's YouTube and Vimeo platforms to ensure content relevance and alignment with brand standards.
Travel and be onsite for key events throughout the year, including but not limited to CLC, VLC, Convention, and Day of Giving, plus travel as needed to cover site visits, high-profile alumnae events, chapter establishment, housing programs, and any other occasion where content is needed.
Responsible for coordinating visits directly with chapters.
Be available and flexible to work outside standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and extended days, as content needs, particularly on-location event coverage regularly require.
Leverage audience insights, performance data, and industry trends to guide content strategy and platform optimization.
Partner with the Digital Experience Manager and Strategic Comms Team to foster meaningful, two-way engagement across social media, YouTube, and podcasting platforms.
Drive innovation in current and emerging digital spaces, proactively evaluating new platforms and formats to expand reach and engagement when strategically aligned with the brand.
Monitor trends and activity among NPC organizations and Tri Delta chapters and share insights to inform digital strategy and best practices.
Actively manage Tri Delta’s digital communities by monitoring conversations, responding to comments and messages, engaging with members and audiences, and identifying opportunities to strengthen connection and brand loyalty across platforms.
Abide by and lead others in Tri Delta's project management process and practices.
Receive and act on feedback; focus on self-development to become the best version of yourself.
