About The Position

Turning Point for God is the broadcast ministry of Dr. David Jeremiah, dedicated to delivering the Word of God through various media channels. The Social Media Marketing Manager will lead the day-to-day execution and optimization of Turning Point’s presence across social platforms. This role involves managing the social media team, overseeing content planning and campaign execution, collaborating across departments, and utilizing analytics to increase audience growth, engagement, and ministry impact. The position is based at Turning Point International Headquarters in Lakeside, CA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or equivalent experience
  • Five or more years of social media or digital marketing experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, and emergency social platforms as appropriate.
  • Experience using social media management and scheduling platforms (e.g., Vista Social, Hootsuite, Looker Studio, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing principles, content optimization, and audience development.
  • Experience using analytics to improve growth and content performance
  • Experience supervising staff or leading a social media team, providing creative direction and constructive feedback.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple concurrent projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong writing and editing skills with an ear for established voice
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Must be a like-minded believer and share our passion to deliver the unchanging Word of God to an ever-changing world.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong command of Turning Point’s voice and use it to write, edit, adapt, and guide existing content for social media while maintaining accuracy and brand consistency.
  • Lead the execution of Turning Point’s social media marketing strategy across platforms to grow audience, deepen engagement, and advance ministry objectives.
  • Manage the social media team, workflows, priorities, and publishing processes to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality execution.
  • Oversee community engagement across social media platforms by monitoring comments, messages, and conversations while ensuring timely, professional, and ministry-aligned responses.
  • Monitor emerging social media trends, platform updates, and best practices, recommending new approaches that strengthen ministry reach and effectiveness.
  • Oversee content calendars and campaign activation across multiple communication points, organizing individual messages into a cohesive and recognizable ministry narrative.
  • Measure, analyze, and report on key performance indicators using platform analytics and reporting tools to identify trends, evaluate performance, and translate data into actionable recommendations that improve engagement, audience growth, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Ensure all social media content reflects Turning Point’s brand standards, theological accuracy, editorial quality, and ministry voice.
  • Regularly use approved AI tools to enhance research, content development, production, reporting, workflow efficiency, and innovation while maintaining editorial oversight and content integrity.
  • Collaborate across Marketing, Creative, Broadcast, Web, Email, Donor Development, and other teams to align social media with broader campaigns and make effective use of available content and resources.
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and evaluate members of the social media team, fostering a collaborative, creative, and high-performing work environment.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and platform partners as needed.
