About The Position

Humann is seeking a Social Media Manager to oversee the company's day-to-day organic social media presence. This role is focused on content and community, involving the management of the social content calendar and the development of cross-channel campaign plans. The Social Media Manager will collaborate with the Influencer Marketing Manager to integrate creator content into owned channels and work with brand and creative teams to ensure brand consistency. Responsibilities also include supporting campaign reporting, providing insights for optimization, and contributing to strategy. The role requires comfort with both strategic and executional tasks, including on-set production and live events. The position reports to the Director of Social & Influencer and is key to building the content engine from the ground up.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in organic social media with category experience in health, wellness, or CPG preferred
  • A strong, versatile writer who can flex from educational and credible to warm and conversational
  • Native fluency in short-form video with an understanding for making a hook work, how to hold attention, and how to create reach
  • Hands-on video shooting and editing skills (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar)
  • Experience with social media management and scheduling tools (Sprout Social, Dash, Hootsuite, or similar)
  • Strong analytical instincts using data to inform decisions
  • Highly organized and self-directed, with the ability to manage a full content calendar ensuring a timely and efficient social presence
  • A disrupter mentality thriving in whitespace

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the organic content calendar across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and any emerging platforms relevant to our audience
  • Develop monthly and quarterly content plans that align with brand priorities, product moments, and cultural opportunities
  • Balance planned content with the ability to jump on timely trends and conversations
  • Write compelling, on-brand copy for captions, scripts, CTAs, and community responses
  • Shoot and edit short-form video content natively for TikTok and Reels, either independently or in close collaboration with a content producer
  • Brief and direct creative partners (internal or external) when additional production support is needed
  • Source, curate, and repurpose UGC and influencer content for owned channels (working together with the Influencer Marketing Manager).
  • Own Humann's community presence responding to comments, DMs, and mentions in a voice that’s credible and on brand
  • Develop social listening tools identifying and surfacing community insights, product feedback, and consumer sentiment to the broader team
  • Cultivate relationships with engaged followers and share opportunities to deepen the relationship
  • Track and report on organic social KPIs: reach, impressions, engagement rate, follower growth, video views, and saves/shares
  • Benchmark Humann's content performance against relevant competitors and category leaders
  • Report on program performance regularly and use data to continuously iterate and improve
  • Stay ahead of platform trends, algorithm changes, and social landscape shifts
