About The Position

Dashing Diva is seeking a forward-thinking, beauty-obsessed Social Media Manager to lead social strategy and content creation across platforms. This role involves building brand buzz, fostering community engagement, and collaborating with the Sr. Manager of Integrated Marketing to execute 360° campaigns with social-first content. The ideal candidate is a blend of creativity and strategy, thrives in a fast-paced environment, stays current with beauty industry trends and digital platforms, and possesses strong analytical skills. This is a self-starter role for someone with big ideas and the drive to execute them.

Requirements

  • 4-5 years of previous social media experience.
  • Background in beauty or personal care consumer goods is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of leading the strategy and execution of a brand’s social media channels.
  • Proven ability to scale a brand’s presence on TikTok and Instagram.
  • Experience with TikTok Shop is a plus.
  • Proven ability to strategize, set KPIs, and execute accordingly to meet goals and objectives.
  • "Roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude, willing to jump in as needed to push projects along.
  • Strong understanding and interest in beauty and cultural trends.
  • Ability and desire to seek out new ideas and approaches that align with the Dashing Diva brand.
  • Naturally curious and an idea generator—ability to brainstorm new ways to bring the brand to life on social media.
  • Resourceful, detail-oriented, a problem-solver with the ability to take ownership and initiative.
  • Ability to work efficiently and strategically while balancing competing priorities.
  • Exceptional collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and project management skills.

  • Experience with capturing photo and video for social—video editing is a plus.
  • Keen eye for analytics and data-driven decision making.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Suite (including Lightroom, Premiere, and Photoshop) is a plus.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Dash Social, and other similar platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Build an annual social strategy aligned with Brand Marketing goals, including new product launches, shade extensions, seasonal collections, and core product support.
  • Lead content planning and copywriting for monthly social calendars across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Youtube, and Pinterest, ensuring alignment with brand, retail, and eComm initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Brand, eCommerce, and Retail Marketing teams to translate business priorities into social calendars.
  • Partner with Sr. Manager, Integrated Marketing and key Marketing stakeholders to develop and execute 360° programs and content campaigns.
  • Stay updated on algorithmic changes and social platform updates to evolve strategies and propose new platforms or first-to-market programs.
  • Support TikTok Shop initiatives by contributing to paid content, assisting with affiliate marketing, and sharing social listening insights for sales opportunities.
  • Manage daily posting across all social platforms, including timely reposting of user-generated content (UGC).
  • Engage with the community through comments and direct messages on organic and paid social channels.
  • Monitor and interact with tagged UGC, identifying opportunities to join trending conversations.
  • Identify and execute 'surprise & delight' gifting moments for brand advocates, customers, and influencers.
  • Conduct daily social listening to monitor brand mentions, audience sentiment, and emerging beauty trends.
  • Support influencer marketing initiatives, including research, outreach, and relationship management.
  • Develop a strategy for engaging with the community on existing customer-led Facebook groups, Reddit threads, etc.
  • Oversee social content plan and build a content bank for organic and paid social.
  • Brief the creative team on content asset requirements for products and campaigns, anticipating social needs.
  • Shoot and edit timely, trend-driven content (events, TikTok/IG Reels, BTS, office culture) for real-time moments.
  • Contribute to Creative Team's campaign ideation and execution from a social lens, providing insights on top-performing content and ensuring all social needs are met.
  • Own monthly, quarterly, and yearly analytics reporting, capturing key platform and content metrics, including audience growth, engagements, and e-commerce metrics.
  • Present data-informed recommendations for channel and content optimization.
  • Track and monitor KPIs in real-time to optimize strategies, tactics, and content development.
  • Utilize social listening to synthesize trends, test-and-learn, monitor competitors, and report on community findings.
  • Regularly review competitor and industry leader social and digital work to stay at the forefront of digital trends and share learnings.
