About The Position

The Social Media Manager is responsible for bringing social strategies to life through compelling, platform-first content while managing the day-to-day execution of multiple client social channels. Working closely with the Senior Social Media Strategist, this role creates and captures content, manages publishing and community engagement, supports influencer programs, and identifies emerging trends to keep our clients culturally relevant. While primarily execution-focused, this position offers direct opportunity for growth into strategy and client leadership.

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of experience managing social media for brands, companies, or agencies.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating social-first creative work, including short-form video, photography, and copywriting.
  • Expert understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, Threads, platform trends, and creator culture.
  • Hands-on experience creating short-form video from concept to edit.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom), Canva, and CapCut.
  • Familiarity with influencer marketing and creator partnerships.
  • Exceptional written communication with a sharp eye for detail, strong organizational abilities, and a proactive mindset to handle multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel for content shoots and events as needed.

  • Experience with social media management platforms (such as Sprout Social) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ideate, capture, edit, and publish social-first content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, Threads, and emerging platforms.
  • Capture photography/video (primarily iPhone; DSLR a plus) and edit short-form video using tools like Premiere Pro, CapCut, or native editing features.
  • Concept and execute content shoots locally and during travel.
  • Manage day-to-day publishing, scheduling, and QA across multiple client accounts.
  • Assist in building monthly calendars, write platform-tailored copy, and ensure best practices.
  • Monitor and engage with online communities in each client's unique voice.
  • Spot trends, surface community insights, and execute real-time or surprise-and-delight engagement opportunities.
  • Research and identify brand-aligned creators, assisting the broader team with outreach, coordination, and content approvals.
  • Partner with Creative, Strategy, Account, Media, and PR teams to execute integrated campaigns.
  • Assist with monthly reporting by pulling platform insights.
  • Monitor content performance to recommend optimizations based on engagement, audience behavior, and platform updates.
