About The Position

As our Social Media Manager, you’ll help shape how Treehouse Hotels shows up and connects with audiences across social media. Equal parts creative and strategic, you’ll manage Treehouse’s brand-level social presence while helping guide and support property social channels across the portfolio. This role requires a strong creative eye, an instinct for what works on social, and the ability to translate brand strategy into compelling content. You’ll work closely with the Director of Social Media to support social strategy for new hotel openings and key brand moments, review and guide property content, and develop the creative direction that brings campaigns and shoots to life. You should be comfortable capturing lo-fi, social-first content when needed and editing short-form video, while also knowing how to brief and direct creators and partners to produce content that feels unmistakably Treehouse.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in social media, content, or digital marketing, ideally within hospitality, travel, lifestyle, fashion, food and beverage, or another culturally relevant consumer brand.
  • A strong creative eye and can confidently assess imagery, video, design, and copy through both a brand and social-first lens.
  • Experience developing creative briefs, moodboards, shot lists, and content direction and are comfortable managing creators and external creative partners.
  • Comfortable capturing lo-fi social content on a mobile device and have strong short-form video editing skills using tools such as CapCut or similar platforms.
  • A strong understanding of Instagram and TikTok, including platform-specific formats, audience behaviors, trends, and evolving best practices.
  • Experience using social media management tools such as Later or Sprout Social and are comfortable interpreting social analytics and turning performance into actionable insights.
  • A strategic thinker who can translate brand and marketing priorities into compelling social storytelling.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects, properties, creators, and timelines simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong understanding of brand voice.
  • Collaborative and proactive, comfortable providing creative feedback and working with teams at different levels of social media expertise.
  • Excited by travel, hospitality, culture, and discovering the people, places, and ideas that can inspire great Treehouse storytelling.
  • Willing to travel occasionally as needed.
  • Applicants must submit a portfolio and/or social media accounts demonstrating social-first content they have created or edited, along with examples of creative direction, social campaigns, or channels they have managed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage Treehouse Hotels’ brand social content calendars across Instagram and TikTok, aligning content with brand strategy, marketing priorities, campaigns, openings, programming, and cultural moments.
  • Support the Director of Social Media in developing and executing launch strategies for new Treehouse Hotels, helping build pre-opening and launch content plans, identify storytelling opportunities, and coordinate social activity across brand and property channels.
  • Partner with property marketing teams to review content calendars for new hotels, and provide strategic and creative guidance, helping ensure property channels feel locally relevant while remaining consistent with the Treehouse brand.
  • Translate social strategies and campaigns into creative concepts, moodboards, shot lists, briefs, and content plans. Provide clear creative direction to photographers, videographers, creators, and property teams to ensure content is social-first and on brand.
  • Capture lo-fi, social-first photo and video content as needed and edit existing footage into engaging short-form content for Instagram, TikTok, and other emerging platforms. This role does not serve as the primary photographer or videographer but should be comfortable creating nimble, native content for social.
  • Identify and manage relationships with creators and micro-influencers who align with Treehouse, including outreach, briefing, content direction, deliverables, approvals, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Help oversee Treehouse social channels across Instagram and TikTok, maintaining a cohesive brand voice and visual identity while adapting content to the nuances of each platform.
  • Stay close to the conversations, creators, formats, and cultural moments shaping social media, identifying opportunities for Treehouse to participate in ways that feel relevant and authentic to the brand.
  • Analyze social media performance to understand what resonates, identify trends and opportunities, and apply learnings to future content and channel strategies.
  • Work closely with Brand Marketing, Communications, Partnerships, Creative, property marketing teams, and other internal partners to bring campaigns, programming, partnerships, and key brand moments to life across social.
