About The Position

Robert Half, one of FORTUNE’s World’s Most Admired Companies and a Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For is hiring for a Social Media Manager, Community & Reddit Strategy to join the Corporate Communications department. If you know the difference between a post that earns upvotes and one that gets roasted, this job might be for you. We're looking for someone who genuinely loves social media: the trends, the communities, the weird little corners of the internet, the comments, the culture, and the challenge of helping a brand show up in ways that feel relevant, useful, and real. As our Social Media Manager, Community & Reddit Strategy, you'll be Robert Half's resident Reddit expert while helping shape our organic presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, and emerging platforms. This role is part community builder, part internet culture translator, part audience insight spotter, and part social strategist — ideal for someone who pays attention to what people are saying online and knows how brands can join the conversation without sounding like brands.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in community management, social media, digital marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong fluency in Reddit culture, subreddit dynamics, karma, moderation, and community etiquette.
  • Experience managing other social platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms.
  • Experience using social listening and community management platforms such as Sprout Social and Brandwatch.
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to shift voice by audience, platform, and conversation while staying credible and authentic.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience handling sensitive, high-visibility, or escalated conversations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting a B2B, professional services, staffing, recruiting, HR, financial services, or other regulated brand.
  • Familiarity with SEO, AEO/GEO, and how social conversations influence search and AI-generated answers.
  • Experience supporting advocacy, ambassador, influencer, subject matter expert, or community programs that drive participation and brand affinity.
  • Strong grasp of social analytics, audience intelligence, reporting, and turning data into useful recommendations.
  • Proven ability to make complex or highly professional topics feel approachable, authentic, and engaging.
  • Curiosity about workplace trends, hiring, careers, leadership, internet culture, emerging platforms, and digital communities.
  • Interest in using AI tools responsibly to improve efficiency, insights, and community operations while keeping quality and authenticity high.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive Robert Half’s Reddit strategy, establishing the roadmap, engagement framework, and community growth initiatives while serving as the organization’s leading authority on Reddit culture, community dynamics, platform best practices, and audience engagement.
  • Manage Robert Half-owned Reddit communities, including moderation, community resources, content, rules, reputation, and overall community health.
  • Build Robert Half's organic Reddit presence by finding, joining, and contributing to relevant conversations across career, workplace, recruiting, HR, tech, finance, legal, and industry communities to drive brand awareness, authority, and AI visibility.
  • Write platform-native Reddit copy that feels sharp, useful, and human, matching subreddit tone while earning trust, upvotes, and real engagement.
  • Create and oversee Reddit editorial calendar including reactive engagement opportunities, community growth initiatives, advocate/influencer activations, and expert AMAs to support participation, AI visibility and business priorities.
  • Lead proactive and reactive engagement across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, and emerging channels.
  • Develop and maintain platform-specific community engagement frameworks, response playbooks, and governance guidelines that ensure timely, appropriate and brand-aligned participation across social channels.
  • Monitor and respond to comments, mentions, DMs, and community conversations with speed, wit and authenticity.
  • Build relationships with job seekers, employers, clients, industry voices, creators, and brand advocates.
  • Adapt voice and engagement style by platform to appeal to audiences and cement the brand’s authentic understanding of social.
  • Craft clever, audience-first copy for comments, replies, captions, and community moments that wins people over and makes the brand feel more relatable.
  • Elevate recurring questions, concerns, ideas, and insights from the community back to the business.

  • Monitor sentiment, workplace conversations, hiring trends, competitor activity, audience questions, content opportunities, and social search /AI discovery trends.
  • Turn audience insights into practical recommendations for content, messaging, marketing, communications, customer experience, and sales.
