SkyPilot (10k+ GitHub stars, 18M+ downloads) manages the GPU fleets of 100s of companies, from Fortune 500s to top AI-natives like Abridge, Applied Compute, Mistral, Unconventional AI, H Company, and Nubank, with usage growing exponentially. Born in the UC Berkeley lab behind Spark and Databricks, our growing team includes top-tier talent from Databricks, Google, Berkeley, MIT, CMU, and Cornell. To date, SkyPilot has raised over $20M in seed funding from top investors (incl. Lux, Coatue, Amplify) and operators (incl. Ali Ghodsi, Jeff Dean, Guillermo Rauch, Amjad Masad, Clem Delangue, Aaron Levie). We're hiring a Social Media Lead to own SkyPilot’s public voice end to end. You'll decide what we sound like, what each channel is for, and which moments are worth putting our weight behind. You'll get our engineers and founders posting credibly about their own work. This is a hands-on role. You will set the strategy and you will write most of the posts. If you want to direct contractors and approve calendars, this isn't it. Developers dislike marketing that sounds like marketing. That’s part of the fun!

Requirements

• 2+ years leading social or a related marketing function at a company with a technical audience. Bonus if it was infrastructure or open source. We care more about the work you can show us than the years behind it.
• Excellent taste in writing and design. You know what makes a post land, and you can tell which graphic or clip is great.
• You love experimenting. You like trying new formats, odd angles, topics adjacent to our own. Some of it won't work. Some of it will. Experimentation is key.
• You’re obsessed about high-impact posts. You are analytical about the reach, traffic, etc. You know what metrics matter and how to move them.
• Editorial judgment per platform — knowing the tone and style for each, and what content is worth posting where.
• Enough technical/AI literacy to read a blog post, a benchmark or a pull request and write about it.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy and content. Decide where SkyPilot shows up, what each channel is for, and what goes there. We’d rather post four things a week that land than twenty that don’t.
• Write the posts. Turn blogs, feature announcements and customer stories into posts worth reading.
• Run launches. Own social for every launch, release and conference — teasers, day-of, demo clips, follow-up — alongside product marketing, devrel, and design.
• Get the team posting. Help our engineers and founders post credibly about their own work, amplify the strongest of it, and build the scorecard that tells us what landed.
