About The Position

DigiStream Investigations, a fast-growing national private investigation firm, is seeking a Social Media Investigator to join its team in Houston, Texas. This role conducts desktop-based social media and background research for investigations into potentially fraudulent workers’ compensation and liability claims. The position is based in the office in Katy, Texas; applicants must live in Texas and be willing to commute to the office five days a week. A hybrid schedule may be permitted after a 90-day probationary period. The role is scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required.
Strong ability to search the internet and uncover hard-to-find information.
Ability to interpret legal and/or insurance-related instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Advanced knowledge of and hands-on experience with multiple social media platforms.
Ability to learn quickly and work independently to meet deadlines.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
Must live in Texas and be able to commute to Katy, Texas, five days a week.

Responsibilities

Complete in-depth reports on background data and social media findings.
Work with team members on complex cases to resolve identities using social media or databases.
Communicate clearly with team members and/or clients about workflow, possible opportunities, and problem files.
Complete an average of 1.5 core social media reports per 8-hour workday.
Read, analyze, and distill information from social networking profiles, online forms, and articles, and apply it to investigations.
Conduct multiple research reports simultaneously while maintaining quality and turnaround time.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding subjects under investigation.
