About The Position

TrueNorth is seeking a Social Media Intern to join their Growth Marketing Team. This role offers an opportunity to learn and grow as a young professional within a company recognized as one of USA Today’s Top Workplaces. The intern will focus on social media content planning and scheduling, brand storytelling, messaging consistency, and reporting on campaign performance. The primary goal is to support digital growth efforts by enhancing the company's social media presence, increasing engagement, and creating content that showcases expertise as thought leaders in their served industries.

Requirements

Must be of Sophomore, Junior, or Senior status, currently pursuing a degree or certificate in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
Proficient in Social Media scheduling tools such as Sprout, Hootsuite. Canva or Adobe preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
The ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice To Haves

Prior internship or job experience preferred.
Ideal candidates will have a genuine interest in the insurance industry.

Responsibilities

Assist with writing, editing, and scheduling social media posts across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms.
Support the creation of graphics, video clips, and other multimedia assets for social content.
Monitor social media channels for trends, engagement opportunities, and community interaction.
Track and report on social media performance and recommend improvements.
Collaborate with marketing team members to support campaigns and content calendar execution.
