About The Position

Alta Pest Control is seeking a visually-driven creator to join their marketing department. This role is for a designer who can translate the pest control industry into high-impact visual stories. The intern/coordinator will have a seat at the table in shaping the visual identity of the marketing department, whether currently finishing a degree or looking to launch a career. The position offers a starting pay of $15 per hour, with both full-time regular and full-time seasonal roles available. The daily mission is to deliver quality, exceed expectations, and represent Alta with pride.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Graphic Design, Marketing, Visual Communications, or Fine Arts program.
  • Must be able to show a portfolio of work (student projects are welcome!) demonstrating a strong grasp of typography, layout, and color theory.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Ability to take a boring "sales tip" and turn it into a thumb-stopping graphic.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Canva or Figma.
  • Experience with basic animations or motion-design elements.

Responsibilities

  • Design high-quality graphics for LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook using the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) or Figma.
  • Collaborate with Sales Leads to design professional pitch decks, PDF one-pagers, and digital "battle cards" for the sales team.
  • Ensure all departmental output is cohesive, modern, and on-brand.
  • Direct, film, and edit high-energy video content (Reels/TikToks) that highlights office culture and expert insights.
  • Add flair to social presence with basic animations or motion-design elements (preferred).
  • Assist in the design and execution of email marketing templates and landing page assets.
  • Use design eye to identify emerging aesthetic trends in the Austin tech/sales market and apply them to strategy.
