About The Position

The PWMTD Social Media Coordinator will create and post on the division social media accounts. The coordinator will have a role managing accounts with an eye towards capturing the daily experience of the students in the division, as well as communicating major events occurring throughout the semester. The coordinator will also work with other coordinators in the individual departments to align content throughout the division, and make sure the right content is disseminated division wide.

Requirements

  • Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
  • Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program.
  • Summer employment requires pre-registration for the upcoming fall semester.
  • Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
  • Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.
  • A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. (Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.)
  • Federal Work Study student may apply.
  • In good disciplinary standing.
  • Must be located in the U.S.
  • Experience with social media platforms including but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.
  • Familiarity with and interest in departmental activities, ensembles, concerts, and student groups
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized and self-motivated with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Attention to detail, reliability, promptness, and careful proofing of produced work
  • Familiarity/Proficiency with programs such as Adobe CC, Canva, Google Workspace

Responsibilities

  • Curate division related social media posts depending on needs of each week
  • Create visual media including but not limited to graphic work and video work
  • Attend division-related events for social media content
  • Spearhead assigned social media campaigns and brainstorm ideas with coworkers
  • Develop, edit, and schedule written, graphic, image, and video content for online use
  • Monitor social media accounts, respond to messages, and foster engagement
  • Ensure a consistent brand voice and style across all platforms for the division
