About The Position

We are currently seeking a Social Media Coordinator Intern for a 12-week internship in Toronto, with a hybrid or fully remote work arrangement. Reporting to the Vice President, Digital and Delivery, you will help manage CFIB’s presence across platforms like Instagram, X (formerly known as Twitter), Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube. You will assist in content creation, post scheduling, trend monitoring, and performance reporting.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a post-secondary program in communications, marketing, digital media, journalism, or a related field
  • Strong writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills
  • Experience using social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, YouTube)
  • Basic familiarity with design and editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express, InShot)
  • Interest in analytics and performance tracking tools like Google Analytics, HubSpot, or Hootsuite
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects
  • Comfortable working independently and in a collaborative environment

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
  • Experience with social media ads (Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn ads), SEO, and hashtag strategies is a bonus

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of CFIB’s social media strategy across multiple channels
  • Create, schedule, and publish engaging content including posts, graphics, stories, and short-form videos
  • Contribute creative ideas for social campaigns, contests, and audience engagement
  • Maintain the social media content calendar, ensuring alignment with campaigns, webinars, partnerships, and seasonal themes
  • Monitor trends, platform updates, and industry best practices to keep CFIB’s content fresh and relevant
  • Assist in creating visuals using design tools like Canva or Adobe
  • Track key metrics using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, Meta Insights) and report on performance
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent messaging
  • Stay up to date on CFIB’s initiatives, policies, and campaigns to reflect them accurately in content
