The Social Media Content Moderator role is key in providing a positive social experience for all users by reviewing user-generated content on client platforms. This position is based on-site in El Paso, Texas. Requirements

  • Ability to work ON SITE at El Paso, Texas.
  • Experience navigating internet websites including social media and commercial websites.
  • Comfortability reviewing internet content that may be deemed inappropriate and/or contain explicit material.
  • Attention to detail.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 months of customer service experience.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to type at least 25 words per minute.
  • Comfortable with desktop computer systems and have general knowledge of Windows-based systems.
  • Predictable and reliable attendance.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
  • College degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Moderating user-generated content on client platforms by reviewing graphic images, videos, and written content.
  • Ensuring content meets community guidelines and escalating any content that violates defined parameters.
  • Reviewing content to determine if community guidelines are met while upholding a high standard of accuracy and quality.
  • Participating in frequent refresher training to implement correct policies.
  • Complying with performance indicators or parameters defined by the specific client's operation.
  • Reviewing, classifying, and/or eliminating highly sensitive content uploaded by users according to client-defined parameters.
  • Investigating and resolving complex issues regarding content within agreed-upon turnaround times and standards of quality.
  • Complying with corporate confidentiality policies and the proper handling of customer information to guarantee security.
  • Participating in continuous training programs established by the company for optimal development.
  • Complying with all orders, instructions, and procedures related to the role.
  • Moderating traumatic, sensitive, and potentially offensive content.
  • Providing trends and insights to develop improvements to overall processes and offering recommendations for process, policy, and product improvements.
  • Remaining up-to-date on key workflow changes, operational guidelines, policy updates, and Community Standards.
