About The Position

My Healthy Penguin is a rapidly growing meal prep brand in Southern California, serving hundreds of customers weekly, including police departments, colleges, corporate clients, and families. We manage our own kitchen, delivery fleet, and smart fridges. We have established the operational side and are now seeking an individual to build our brand's audience through content creation and outreach.

Requirements

• Proficiency in shooting and editing short-form video.
• Comfort with outreach, including DMs, emails, follow-ups, and real conversations with creators and customers.
• Understanding of current short-form video trends, including hooks, pacing, and retention.
• Ability to film real people without making the content feel staged.
• Ability to move fast and work independently.
• Understanding that content is a growth lever.
• Portfolio or links to recent work (IG, TikTok, reels, etc.).
• A short note explaining why this role is a fit.
• Two or three content ideas for My Healthy Penguin's first month.

Responsibilities

• Shoot and edit short-form video for Instagram and TikTok weekly, capturing meals, people, and real moments in our kitchen, on delivery routes, at customer doorsteps, and at smart fridge locations.
• Post content consistently and own the Instagram and TikTok feeds.
• Find and reach out to local Southern California creators and micro-influencers to pitch partnerships, coordinate shoots, and manage deliverables.
• Build ongoing relationships with creators who align with the brand.
• Identify and coordinate content featuring real customers.
• Use content to drive weekly order deadlines, menu drops, and offers.
• Track content performance, identifying what works and what doesn't, and double down on successful strategies.
