Social Media Content Creator
About The Position
At Merani Hotel Group, hospitality is more than a service—it’s an experience. Across our hotels and restaurants in Niagara Falls, Canada, and the USA, we focus on creating memorable stays through comfort, style, and award‑winning care. We’re excited to welcome a Social Media Content Creator who can help us share those stories. If you have experience in a small to mid‑size business setting and a passion for producing creative, meaningful digital content, we’d love to meet you. You’ll develop content across multiple platforms to highlight our six properties and grow our digital community. This role collaborates directly with our Marketing Manager and Vice President of Finance & Accounting.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience in content creation using Adobe Illustrator, Canva, Photoshop and/or other video editing platforms
- Proficiency in MS Office software applications and/or google sheets/docs
- An understanding of the best use practices for social media networks such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.
- A firm understanding of video copyright laws and social media terms of service
- Proven ability to communicate with tact, clarity, and accuracy
- Excellent proofreading skills, and ability to translate technical information, and convey it to a lay audience
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines without supervision
- Someone who enjoys building relationships with customers and coworkers
- Passion for marketing, data, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other platforms
- Familiarity with photography and videography for use in social graphics and content
- Design graphics experience
Nice To Haves
- Experience with surface level web development
- A working knowledge of SEO
Responsibilities
- Manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities
- Produce and edit video content
- Create and curate content for our digital site and social media platforms
- Design branded physical memorabilia
- Assist with proofreading or editing other content before publishing
- Perform background research as needed
- Review live content monthly and create reports outlining success rates
