About The Position

As a leader in prestige beauty e-commerce, we bridge the gap between clinical expertise and a premium shopping experience. We are looking for a creative, trend-focused, and highly collaborative Social Media Associate to help shape and execute Dermstore’s digital voice. In this role, you will be the engine behind our social platforms, owning content creation from initial concept through to final execution. This is a critical role for someone who lives and breathes social media, possesses strong storytelling instincts, and knows how to translate beauty trends into engaging, high-performing content that resonates with our community.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in social media, content creation, or digital marketing
  • Deep understanding of social platforms, trends, and internet culture
  • Strong video editing and content creation skills, with specific expertise in short-form video
  • Experience using social media management and measurement platforms (e.g., Sprout Social, Dash Hudson) preferred
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage timelines, stakeholders, and multiple campaigns simultaneously
  • Proven ability to ideate and execute engaging, high-performing social content
  • Comfortable being on camera and acting as a brand voice
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Concept, script, create and execute social-first beauty content across platforms, owning the process from ideation through filming, editing and publishing
  • Write and refine social copy, including captions and short-form video scripts, ensuring alignment with brand voice, platform trends, and campaign goals
  • Monitor and identify emerging social trends and translate them into timely, on-brand content opportunities
  • Lead and support content capture during shoots, ensuring social-first needs are met
  • Collaborate on social calendars and campaign planning, contributing creative ideas that align with broader marketing initiatives
  • Set and deliver to production milestones and timelines while working within cross-functional stakeholder requirements
  • Analyze content performance and apply insights to optimize future content and improve engagement
  • Partner with creative, brand, and marketing teams to develop cohesive, impactful social content
  • Comfortable occasionally stepping in front of the camera for content when needed, but primarily focused on directing and capturing content behind the scenes
