About The Position

Organigram is looking for a Social Media Associate to join their Communications and Digital Strategy team. This role reports to the Director of Communications and Digital Strategy and will support the brand's presence across digital channels. The associate will monitor social conversations, manage community inboxes, and ensure customers across the brand portfolio receive the necessary attention. The role involves working across brands such as SHRED, BOXHOT, Collective Project, and others, as part of a supportive team that values curiosity, collaboration, initiative, and a willingness to learn. The position is a contract role until October and is based in Toronto, ON, with a hybrid work model.

Requirements

  • Up to 2 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, customer service, or communications (internships and co-op placements welcome).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, particularly Reddit and Instagram.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort with digital platforms.
  • Must be Toronto based

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to Meltwater, Sprout Social, or similar tools is an asset (training provided).
  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field is an asset.
  • Experience in cannabis retail or the regulated cannabis industry is an asset.
  • Bilingual (English & French) is considered an asset.
  • A great sense of humour.
  • A strategic thinker and proactive self-starter with strong organizational skills who takes ownership and follows through without being prompted.

Responsibilities

  • Track and log customer complaints, ensuring cases are recorded accurately and followed up on in a timely manner.
  • Support ongoing case management, including internal coordination and customer communication through to resolution.
  • Surface patterns and escalations to the appropriate team members as needed.
  • Monitor brand mentions and conversations daily using Meltwater, with a focus on Reddit and Instagram.
  • Manage DMs and community inboxes across brand accounts, responding to and clearing messages in a timely manner.
  • Identify customer issues through social channels and ensure they are logged and resolved.
  • Manage and maintain the social media content calendar and scheduling across brand accounts.
  • Assist with swag fulfillment to support brand campaigns and events.
  • Maintain and update website content as directed.
  • Work cross-functionally with communications, marketing, and brand teams to support campaigns and initiatives.
  • Provide regular updates on social and customer activity, flagging progress and opportunities to improve.
