Complex is seeking a culturally fluent, creative, and entrepreneurial Social Editor to help launch and build Complex Latin, a social-first media vertical celebrating the people, stories, and movements shaping modern U.S. Latino culture. As a founding team member, the editor will establish the vertical’s social identity and editorial voice, grow its audience, and create original content across music, sports, entertainment, fashion, food, and streetwear. The role works closely with the GM of Latin Business, editorial staff, on-camera talent, and Complex’s broader Social team. This hands-on, high-ownership role calls for a bilingual storyteller with strong editorial judgment, social-platform expertise, and a deep understanding of U.S. Latino culture. The editor will develop original content, respond to breaking news, manage freelance contributors, analyze performance, and appear on camera when needed. The role is based in Complex’s New York City office and follows a hybrid schedule of three days per week in-office. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST, for 40 hours per week. Nights, weekends, and holidays may be required as needed for breaking news, major cultural moments, and event coverage. The listed rate is $38 per hour. Actual pay may vary based on factors including location, experience, and performance. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
