About The Position

Sol de Janeiro is looking for a Social Creator who is culturally savvy, visually driven, and passionate about bringing brands to life through engaging content. This role is part of the Global Content & Brand Experience team and reports to the Associate Director of Social Media, Content & Community. The Social Creator will collaborate on content conception and produce short-form, native content primarily for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, focusing on creative originality and understanding audience resonance. The ideal candidate has a deep interest in various creative mediums, especially social media, and possesses a strong visual point of view and the ability to create content that captures attention, connects with audiences, and drives conversions. This is a hands-on role involving concepting, filming, and editing content that inspires, entertains, and fosters brand loyalty.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in content creation or social media, either for a brand or a personal channel.
  • Proficiency in shooting and editing with mobile tools, the full Adobe suite, and CapCut.
  • Comfortable on camera with an authentic, engaging presence and at ease self-applying product on-screen.
  • Strong understanding of current and emerging trends and what makes content compelling.
  • An interest in various creative mediums and how they influence the digital landscape.
  • High energy, low ego, and a clear creative point of view.
  • Ability to think in terms of communities and understand brand-audience interaction.
  • A passion for storytelling, style, and visual identity expression.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and produce videos for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, including lo-fi content, IRL interviews, trend-driven moments, and voiceovers, appearing on camera as needed.
  • Pitch and execute weekly content ideas in collaboration with the social team, focusing on always-on support aligned with content pillars.
  • Create authentic and relatable content by self-applying skincare, bodycare, and mists, and be comfortable appearing on camera.
  • Collaborate with consumer marketing, social, and influencer teams to bring campaign and launch moments to life.
  • Create content optimized for specific channel needs and intent, understanding how to optimize for paid promotion.
  • Concept, shoot, edit, and produce content end-to-end, ranging from meme-style pieces to elevated series and partnership content.
  • Partner with the social team to develop creative content that aligns with brand voice and cultural trends.
  • Monitor cultural trends and adapt them to the brand voice and aesthetic in real time.
  • Edit content with attention to pacing, tone, visuals, motion, and graphics.
  • Select engaging, on-brand thumbnails and add copy overlays when applicable.
  • Source on-brand, trending sounds licensed for commercial use.
  • Support regional and retail content requests for product launches and innovation.
  • Be nimble, experimental, and push the boundaries of beauty/lifestyle content, drawing inspiration from various industries.
  • Capture and tailor behind-the-scenes content from events (photoshoots, launch events, store visits) to specific platforms.
  • Support scripting and copywriting to ensure content messaging aligns with creative intent.
