About The Position

Haus Labs is seeking a Social Content Creator to join their Social Media Team. This role will be instrumental in driving TikTok's content and community strategy, encompassing everything from filming and editing to publishing. The ideal candidate will be the primary point person for all TikTok activities, including ideation, execution, and trend participation. This position requires a candidate who enjoys creating content, applying makeup on camera, is skilled in product-focused content creation, organized, possesses clear communication skills, stays current with trends, and consistently exceeds expectations in their content. A sense of humor is also essential. Candidates are asked to provide links to their portfolio or social media.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-3+ years of industry experience in a similar role within the beauty industry
  • Proficiency in CapCut and Splice for video editing
  • Comfortable on-camera with experience in editing within the TikTok app
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter, ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment
  • Passionate about makeup, skincare, and the beauty industry

Responsibilities

  • Lead the TikTok content creation strategy, producing on-brand content both reactively and proactively.
  • Create authentic and relatable content by self-applying makeup, with comfort in appearing on camera.
  • Shoot TikTok-first videos that are relevant and aligned with messaging guidelines, utilizing in-app features.
  • Manage the monthly TikTok calendar in alignment with overall marketing goals.
  • Create engaging content in advance for team review and adjust posting dates to keep pace with trends.
  • Craft strategic copy and utilize hashtags for Copywriter review.
  • Publish content daily during peak performance times after approval from Social and Creative teams.
  • Select engaging, on-brand thumbnails and add copy overlay when applicable.
  • Source on-brand trending sounds licensed for commercial use.
  • Capture and tailor behind-the-scenes content from events (photoshoots, launch events, Sephora store visits) for the platform, and create office content featuring team members.
  • Actively monitor, engage with, and respond to customers on the platform.
  • Analyze data to identify top-performing content and make content recommendations.
  • Manage the platform end-to-end, including creation, editing, publishing, copywriting, and community management.
