About The Position

JAX Fray is seeking a part-time Soccer Host who is fun, outgoing, energetic, and reliable. The ideal candidate loves soccer, has a passion for sports, and can work independently to solve problems and handle dynamic situations. The primary mission of this role is to make league night the best night of the week for members by leading the charge on the court, setting the tone, and embodying the United Fray brand. This involves creating a fun and energetic experience, running nightly operations, setting up and breaking down fields/locations, reffing/hosting games, transporting equipment, tracking scores, communicating with players, executing evening tasks, and acting as the local "FACE" of JAX Fray.

Requirements

• Commit for the entire season (7-8 week season), with flexibility on weather.
• Must be able to get to scheduled game 45 minutes early.
• Must have the ability to update the scores on a nightly basis (smartphone).
• Must be able to attend New Hire Orientation and League Training.

• Encouraged to interact with players at sponsor bar after games.

Responsibilities

• Make fun possible by producing a fun and energetic experience for all players involved.
• Run nightly operations for sports leagues including field/location set up and break down.
• Ref/host the games.
• Transport equipment if needed.
• Track scores.
• Communicate with players.
• Execute evening tasks.
• Act as the local "FACE" of JAX Fray.
• Show up for every game.
• Provide leadership to ensure everyone is following the rules of the game.
• Be hands-on with respect to set up and tear down of events.
• Create a hospitable environment, provide organization, cheerleading, and general oversight of games in their league.
• Send at least 1 weekly e-mail to communicate any changes, game times, news, or upcoming events (coordinators only, unless the league only has one host).
• Maintain league equipment during the season when applicable (coordinators only, unless the league only has one host).
