About The Position

JAX Fray is seeking a Part-Time Bar Games Host who is fun, outgoing, energetic, and reliable. The ideal candidate loves bar games, can work without direct supervision, and is adept at handling dynamic situations. The primary mission of this role is to make league night the best night of the week for members by leading the charge, setting the tone, and embodying the United Fray brand. This involves creating a fun and energetic experience, running nightly operations for sports leagues, including setup, breakdown, reffing/hosting games, transporting equipment, tracking scores, communicating with players, executing evening tasks, and acting as the local "FACE" of JAX Fray.

Requirements

Love for bar games (darts, skeeball, cornhole, and bowling).
Ability to work without direct supervision.
Ability to get stuff done and solve problems.
Good at handling dynamic situations.
Ability to keep calm in a storm.
Ability to be a fun and sociable person.
Ability to "Make Fun Possible" and get people back into the groove.
Bar game playing, coaching or reffing experience.
Creative, over-the-top, and electric personality.
Thrive on building relationships/community.
Great communication skills.
Enthusiastic and outgoing.
Able to think on your feet and problem-solve.
Positive and adaptable approach to customers.
Commitment for the entire season (7-8 week season), with flexibility on weather.
Ability to get to scheduled game 30 minutes early.
Ability to update scores on a nightly basis (smartphone).
Ability to create a hospitable environment, provide organization, cheerleading, and general oversight of games in their league.
Ability to attend New Hire Orientation and League Training.
Ability to send at least 1 weekly e-mail to communicate any changes, game times, news, or upcoming events (coordinators only, unless the league only has one host).
Ability to maintain league equipment during the season when applicable (coordinators only, unless the league only has one host).

Nice To Haves

Played bar games since childhood.
Competed in bar games before.
Passion or background in sports.
Any ref licensing or accreditation is encouraged but not required for team sports.

Responsibilities

Make fun possible by producing a fun and energetic experience for all players.
Run nightly operations for sports leagues.
Set up and break down fields/locations.
Ref/host the games.
Transport equipment if needed.
Track scores.
Communicate with players.
Execute evening tasks.
Act as the local "FACE" of JAX Fray.
Ensure everyone is following the rules of the game.
Be hands-on with set up and tear down of events.
Commit for the entire season (7-8 week season), with flexibility on weather.
Arrive at scheduled games 30 minutes early.
Interact with players at sponsor bar location after the games.
Update scores on a nightly basis using a smartphone.
Create a hospitable environment, provide organization, cheerleading, and general oversight of games in their league.
Attend New Hire Orientation and League Training.
Send at least 1 weekly e-mail to communicate any changes, game times, news, or upcoming events (coordinators only, unless the league only has one host).
