About The Position

The Soccer Coach assists with the success and growth of the Total Soccer Academy program and facility. The coach meets with clients to understand their goals, maintains program expectations through training sessions, supports client improvement and satisfaction, and works toward session and sales goals. The position also supports department objectives, including selling new memberships.

The role includes delivering soccer sessions, supporting member retention and customer service, helping develop players’ skills, and contributing to the upkeep and safety of the facility and equipment. Coaches may also conduct events, camps, clinics, tours, evaluations, and trials to support membership growth.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong service orientation and a desire to deliver an outstanding member experience.
• Computer literacy, including proficiency with MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word.
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization and time-management skills.
• Accurate and timely work in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Strong task completion and follow-through skills.
• Professionalism, cooperation, and the ability to work well with all parties.
• Ability to maintain focus in a hectic and evolving environment, with a high regard for safety.
• Willingness and ability to work a flexible shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Current CPR certification or ability to pass CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to work professionally and effectively with people at all levels of the organization across multiple physical locations.
• Ability to work with interruptions, changing priorities, a busy environment, and tight deadlines.
• Self-motivated, energetic, and positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks.
• Good judgment, confidentiality, and diplomacy when handling company information and communicating with others.
• Passion for fitness, health, and wellness.
• Ability to understand and process administrative requests, assess employee FTE impact on budgets, and reconcile hours worked to training sessions worked.
• Knowledge of fitness terminology and methods.
• Concussion protocol training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the success and growth of the Total Soccer Academy program and facility, including member retention, customer service, facility cleanliness, and general soccer-equipment maintenance.
• Sell new memberships through tours, evaluations, and trials.
• Deliver Total Soccer Academy sessions that meet or exceed program standards and expectations.
• Assist with members’ skill development through workouts by connecting, correcting, competing, and challenging them.
• Perform on-site events, camps, and clinics to generate membership growth.
• Communicate effectively with members, coworkers, and the manager verbally and in writing.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Keep the facility clean and safe through routine maintenance and safety checks.
• Attend mandatory meetings at the club and offsite, as well as conference calls.
• Promptly and thoroughly review required health and safety training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
