About The Position
This is a full-time, permanent position for a Sobering Center Supervisor at the Napa County Behavioral Health Treatment Center, Sobering Center. The center operates 24/7 and the contract runs through June 30, 2030. The role involves supervising staff, monitoring guests, and coordinating care within a 5-bed facility.
Requirements
- 2+ years in substance use treatment and recovery within the last 5 years.
- 2+ years supervising staff in a 24/7 setting.
- Intoxication monitoring, medical screening and emergency transfer protocols.
- Motivational interviewing and harm reduction.
- Experience working with law enforcement, EMS and people experiencing homelessness.
- HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 compliance.
Nice To Haves
- Active California RN license.
- CADC or RADT certification.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Run a 5-bed, 24/7 sobering center.
- Supervise about 13 staff, with at least 2 on duty at all times, one of whom must be an RN.
- Screen guests at intake and before discharge, using the County's placement tool before discharge.
- Arrange warm handoffs to detox, residential treatment or other services.
- Keep records in the County's SmartCare EHR.
