About The Position

The Highlands is seeking a Polar Penguins Mini Camp Supervisor to help lead and support our children’s mini camp program. The Polar Penguins Mini Camp Supervisor will work closely with instructors and childcare staff each day, maintaining an active presence in the learning areas and indoor facilities to help build a safe, fun, and positive environment for our youngest guests.

Requirements

  • Must be 18+ years of age.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor in stressful situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with young children (childcare, early education, or similar) preferred.
  • PSIA-AASI Certification preferred.
  • Previous snowsports experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Mini Camp check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Responsible for completeness of daily set-up and take-down tasks for the Mini Camp program.
  • Actively supervise children in both indoor and outdoor settings throughout the program day.
  • Support instructors on-snow to help ensure proper grouping and leveling of Mini Camp participants.
  • Assist instructors with children’s snowsports lessons during peak periods.
  • Available to assist instructors and childcare staff with issues as they arise.
  • Help facilitate lunch, snack time, indoor activities, and rest periods for Mini Camp children.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate daily documentation, including attendance records and incident reports.
  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of facilities (Tailgate Room, Pleasantview Room).
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and all local, state, and federal regulations relating to childcare.
  • Communicate effectively with Director, managers, supervisors, and instructors.
  • Maintain good relationships with other departments at the resort.
  • Enhance the guest experience and minimize guest complaints.
  • Provide exceptional guest service. Field parent and guest concerns and actively work to resolve them.
  • Communicate with parents regarding a child’s behavioral or learning challenges as needed.
  • Communicate and promote Boyne Resort’s LEADS core values.
  • Provide a positive, inclusive, and welcoming work environment.
  • Show appreciation to instructors and childcare staff.
  • Take opportunities to learn more and improve.
  • Supervise children and childcare providers
