Snowmaking Team Lead

About The Position

When the sun goes down and temperatures drop below freezing, our snowmakers gear-up and head out on the mountain. Facing challenging weather and difficult mountain terrain, our snowmakers perform the physically demanding job of tending to our snowmaking equipment. This position plays an instrumental role in creating the product that our guests enjoy: advanced, intermediate, beginner terrain, learning areas, terrain parks and racecourses. It all starts with our snowmakers.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience snowmaking required
  • Must have a valid US Driver’s License and complete an MVR check to company standards.
  • Minimum age 18 years old to drive company vehicles
  • Ability to work outside in a mountain environment during harsh conditions
  • Ability to walk through deep snow while carrying heavy equipment and tools (50+ pounds)
  • Ability to move large volumes of snow with a shovel
  • Must have a willingness to work 12-hour shifts, day or night

  • Must have an interest in learning about the process of making snow
  • Is honest and has the highest integrity - is able to handle and manage confidential information.
  • Follows established policies and procedures - sets the example for others and is above reproach.
  • Is organized in tasks. Sees projects through to the finish. Has good follow-through and makes it a habit of getting back to people on issues.
  • Can handle fast paced, potentially high-pressure environment.
  • Lead by example for all company safety policies and procedures, actively contributing to and reinforcing a safe working environment for self, coworkers, work crews, and guests.
  • All employees are expected to support Eldora’s corporate responsibility commitment to protect the environment by participating in the Sustainable Transportation Program. This includes choosing alternative transportation, carpooling, using the employee shuttle, and avoiding onsite parking on weekends and peak days. These actions help reduce Scope 3 emissions, lead by example, and ensure adequate parking for guests.
