About The Position

The Lake Louise Ski Resort is seeking a Snowmaker for the Winter 26/27 season. This role is crucial for maintaining and operating snow production equipment to ensure a quality snow product on the mountain. Snowmakers work outdoors in various weather conditions and temperatures, both day and night. The position involves dismantling, relocating, and setting up mobile snowmaking equipment. Successful candidates will receive hands-on training. Requirements

  • Must have at least an ‘Intermediate-level’ or better ski/snowboard ability
  • Hold a valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license (or international equivalent) and be able to provide proof from your insurer of 3 years claims free history
  • Must have high level of physical fitness
  • Must enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Must be flexible in working day and/or night shifts
  • Strong verbal and written English skills required
  • Energetic and self-motivated

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with long-hour shifts of manual labour is preferred.
  • Experience with operating a snowmobile operation an asset, but not required
  • Problem-solving ability and remaining calm under pressure an asset
  • Previous snowmaking experience an asset, but not required
  • Previous snowmobile operation experience an asset, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a quality snow product is being produced
  • General up-keep and production maintenance of the snowmaking equipment
  • Set up and shut-down of snowmaking equipment
  • Transportation of snowmaking equipment
  • Comply with the tasks and projects assigned by their foreman/supervisors
