About The Position

North Atlantic Snow is hiring seasonal Snow Shovelers to help keep commercial properties safe and accessible during winter storms. Positions are assigned based on the employee’s residence and operational needs across Seacoast New Hampshire, Southern New Hampshire, Southern Maine, and Northeastern Massachusetts. Pay is $20.00–$24.00 per hour depending on experience.

Possible assignments include riding in a plow truck to clear sidewalks along a route; working in a two- to five-person sidewalk crew; being stationed at one or two properties during a storm; or operating sidewalk machines. Work may involve hand shoveling, snowblowing, and, depending on experience, performance, and training, operating specialized sidewalk equipment. Employees follow storm plans, use mobile apps to record completed work, and must be ready to work during storms, including early mornings, late nights, and emergency events.

The company reports that its winter storm operations involve more than 200 employees, over 100 trucks and loaders, and more than 300 commercial accounts across New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts.

Requirements

• Be reliable, safety-conscious, and have a strong work ethic.
• Be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions for extended hours during storms.
• Be comfortable using mobile apps to log completed work.
• Have a positive attitude and willingness to be a team player.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with shoveling, snowblowing, or small equipment is preferred but not required.
• Experience, performance, and training may qualify employees to operate sidewalk equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clear snow and ice from sidewalks and walkways using shovels, snowblowers, ATVs, and other specialized snow equipment.
• Follow storm plans created by the management team.
• Use mobile apps to record completed work and ensure accurate reporting.
• Work early mornings, late nights, and emergency events as needed during storms.
• Work as part of a truck or sidewalk crew, or at assigned properties, depending on the position.
