About The Position

Southview Design is seeking reliable snow shovelers to work during the snow season. The role involves shoveling snow and removing ice from walks, driveways, and parking lots during snow events. Work is on call, with hours and schedules that may vary; winter weather availability is expected 24/7, including weekends, holidays, and overnights. The position pays $34.00 per hour. Prior experience is preferred but not essential. Candidates should have a clean driving record, be able to pass a background check, and be physically fit enough to meet the job's demands.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds regularly and consistently.
• Able to move about the work site and perform extended activity, including walking, standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting, for up to 100% of a workday.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather and terrain, with exposure to elements such as pollen, chemicals, cold, and heat.
• Winter-weather availability on call 24/7, including weekends, holidays, and overnights.
• Able to pass a background check; a clean driving record is identified as ideal.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with the Zone Coordinator, Area Supervisor, and others to support strong communication, quality standards, and efficient job performance.
• Follow company procedures, safety requirements, and personnel policies.
• Shovel snow and remove ice from sidewalks and driveways.
• Follow instructions from the Zone Coordinator or Area Supervisor, meet deadlines, and maintain the assigned schedule.
• Operate sidewalk equipment, including a sweeper, skid with broom, UTV, and snow shovel, as needed.
• Perform ice management as needed under the direction of the Zone Coordinator or Area Supervisor.
• Apply salt as needed and directed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned; responsibilities and tasks may change as needed.
