About The Position

As the SNAP Case Reading Team Leader, you will lead the SNAP Case Reading team, ensuring efficient and effective operations across case reading services. This is a full-time, salaried opportunity that is onsite in Newark, DE.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree required
  • Minimum of one year of management experience
  • Minimum of one year case management or processing programs of assistance for State government experience
  • Minimum of one year determining compliance with State and Federal laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures, or related experience
  • One year of data entry experience and customer service experience
  • Experience with document imaging systems and related software
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently
  • Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive work to completion
  • Ability to evaluate and interpret complex policy and program information
  • Familiarity with document imaging systems and related software
  • Skill in communication, interpersonal relationships, motivation, organization, and management
  • Transportation to/from office, dependable and on-time
  • Available to work a minimum of one Saturday a month, if necessary

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage operational staff responsible for case reading SNAP cases
  • Collaborate in the development and implementation of organizational policies, practices, procedures, and the attainment of operating goals
  • Provide and communicate overall vision and direction for the program
  • Provide guidance and role-modeling to all program staff
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of organizational processes and provide day-to-day support to ensure processes are running efficiently and effectively
  • Monitor program/services metrics and staff productivity, creating and reviewing monthly metrics with clients
  • Coordinate with other internal operations managers, as well as clients to meet and improve objectives
  • Assess, identify, and report risks, develop mitigation plans, and act proactively to resolve any issues that may arise
  • Monitor SNAP cases for review distributed from the client system and the assignment of work amongst the team daily
  • Monitor all resource mailboxes, and ensure all requests are being handled in a timely manner
  • Assist Case Review Analysts by ensuring case workers have made appropriate updates by the due date
  • Investigate and document constituent complaints, provide supporting documentation, and testify before administrative bodies or court officials if necessary
  • Identify fraud or abuse in the public assistance programs and report it appropriately
  • Maintain the designated Excel spreadsheets to track metrics and provide reports on progress to the project’s manager
  • Communicate with the Management Analysts and Solutions Consultant on a regular basis to determine workload volumes and delegate work as needed
  • Assist with the workload and work Medicaid renewals or FFMs as necessary
  • Develop new procedures, update or change existing procedures, and communicate and train staff accordingly
  • Create training materials, standard operation procedures, and serve as a resource for staff
  • Train and support team members in the case reading procedures
  • Provide training opportunities to the client based on error trends
