About The Position

Worcester Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is hiring a full-time Smoking Attendant at our nursing home! This position offers weekly pay at $16 an hour for 32 hours a week, with a rotating schedule. The role involves assisting residents with smoking, maintaining the smoking area, and ensuring resident safety and comfort.

Requirements

• High school diploma or its equivalent
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions and deal tactfully with personnel, residents, and visitors
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with smoking, lighting materials, and transporting them to and from the designated smoking area
• Maintain a clean designated smoking area for residents
• Transport residents to and from the smoking area, ensuring their safety
• Demonstrate correct safety techniques and respect for facility equipment and supplies
• Contribute to effective communication and pleasant working conditions
