As a Smelter Administrative Assistant, you will support department leaders, employees, and cross-functional partners by providing reliable administrative coordination, accurate reporting, strong customer service, and timely support for scheduling, payroll, records, and employee-facing processes. About the Role In this role, you will provide hands-on administrative support for smelter operations, helping ensure department needs are coordinated, records are accurate , and key processes are completed on time. You will work closely with Human Resources, department leaders, and employees to support work relationships, productivity, engagement, training, and accurate administrative procedures.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that supports success in an administrative role.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, with an understanding of the pace, priorities, and need for accuracy in an operations setting.
  • Advanced analytical and Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to work with data, reporting, audits, metrics, and administrative records.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, Human Resources, department leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize, execute, and take accountability for timely administrative support, scheduling, reporting, and process follow-through.
  • Availability to work different schedules and support a safe, inclusive, and collaborative manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service to employees, department leaders, Human Resources, and other stakeholders by responding professionally and helping connect people with the information or support they need.
  • Support department coverage and scheduling by helping plan and execute work schedules in a timely and organized manner.
  • Perform and coordinate administrative duties including reporting, payroll, time and attendance management, system transactions, data entry, audits, and record keeping.
  • Collect, review, and analyze trends, metrics, and administrative information to support accurate follow-up and informed decision-making.
  • Partner with Human Resources, department leaders, and employees to support positive work relationships, productivity, retention, employee engagement, and training and development initiatives.
  • Document and maintain administrative procedures, helping ensure required reporting is accurate , timely , and aligned with applicable government regulations.
