About The Position

This is an on-site position for an SME Systems Engineer specializing in APIs. A TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance is required. The role is contingent upon contract award. The position requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a STEM field. The engineer will be responsible for working with Windows platforms and COTS applications in cloud environments, utilizing API gateway technologies, and adhering to API design principles and security best practices. Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or C# is necessary, along with experience in cloud-based technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization/orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes). The role also demands strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills, as well as experience in Agile development environments, system testing, validation, and cloud architecture.

Minimum of 10 years relevant experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM field
Meet DoDD 8140 requirements (Security+ CE Certification)
Expertise working with Windows platforms and COTS applications in cloud environments
5+ years of experience with API gateway technologies
Strong understanding of API design principles, security best practices, and industry-standard protocols
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#
Experience with cloud-based technologies, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work in an Agile development environment
Solid engineering rigor
Expert troubleshooting and solutioning skills, including investigating log files to discover root-cause for challenges
Experience with Cloud architecture and system design
Demonstrated experience with system testing and validation
Strong documentation skills
