About The Position
Linxon, a joint venture of AtkinsRéalis and Hitachi Energy, specializes in delivering high-performing EPC solutions for complex AC substation and electrification projects. We support community growth and industrial development by providing end-to-end engineering, procurement, management, and construction services. As the Subject Matter Expert, Primary Engineering, you will be instrumental in transforming the energy landscape across the Americas by applying your technical expertise to develop innovative Substation Layout Designs (765kV to 11kV). You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to shape solutions that ensure reliable energy access, support renewable energy integration, and strengthen critical infrastructure. This role is designed for individuals ready to grow into leadership positions, with opportunities to advance to Lead Engineer or Primary Engineering Team Leader within 3-5 years.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with both outdoor and indoor GIS applications, including a solid understanding of the building infrastructure needed to support indoor GIS systems.
- Skilled in CAD software, such as AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, and use these tools to produce accurate, high-quality design deliverables.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with at least five (5) years of experience, or a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with at least three (3) years of experience.
- Ideally hold or are working toward a Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) certification.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-voltage designs that strengthen grid reliability and support clean-energy growth.
- Produce buildable layouts and specifications that reduce construction issues and keep procurement on track.
- Apply advanced engineering analysis to prevent failures and ensure long-term system performance.
- Lead design reviews and provide targeted site support to resolve issues early and avoid costly rework.
- Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and field teams to ensure seamless execution from design to energization.
- Build customer confidence by presenting clear, dependable technical solutions that enable successful project delivery.
