SMB Outside Sales Representative (1099 + Monthly Stipend)
About The Position
WeLink is a next-generation wireless internet service provider that uses millimeter wave technology and a proprietary network deployment approach to deliver fiber-like internet faster and more cost-effectively than traditional providers. Founded by experienced fixed-wireless veterans, WeLink is building a better alternative to the traditional cable and telecommunications model, focusing on delivering reliable, high-quality internet while creating a better experience for businesses and the communities they serve. We are expanding our SMB business and looking for sales professionals who want the opportunity to help build something new.
Requirements
- Proven experience in B2B, outside sales, business development, or a similar field-based sales role.
- Comfortable walking into businesses, and initiating conversations with people you have never met.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Ability to speak confidently with business owners and decision-makers.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
- Competitive, persistent, and results-oriented.
- Ability to learn and confidently communicate technical products and services.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Telecommunications, internet, technology, or B2B sales experience is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new SMB sales opportunities within assigned markets and territories.
- Prospect directly into businesses through in-person visits and sometimes cold outreach.
- Develop relationships with business owners, managers, property managers, and other key decision-makers.
- Meet face-to-face with small and medium-sized business owners and decision-makers to understand their internet and connectivity needs.
- Present WeLink's business internet solutions and clearly communicate the value, reliability, speed, and flexibility of our service.
- Overcome objections, negotiate when appropriate, and confidently close new business.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified SMB opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal teams to support a smooth transition from sale to installation and activation.
