About The Position

Wagepoint is seeking a talented SMB Account Executive who is not afraid to tackle challenging problems and subjects like payroll and HR technology. This role involves identifying new prospects through various channels, including relationships with accountants, referrals, business partners, and direct B2B sales campaigns. The position offers a combination of salary and commission based on sales performance. The Account Executive will report directly to the Sales Manager.

Requirements

  • Previous SMB sales experience, ideally within payroll software or SaaS.
  • A proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • An ability to sell on value vs features and functions.
  • Experience thriving in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
  • A deep sense of curiosity and desire to grow.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools to manage opportunities and communications.
  • A customer-focused mindset, with a passion for delivering exceptional client experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve and surpass monthly quotas in a high velocity sales environment.
  • Own the end-to-end sales cycle, from lead generation to customer onboarding, collaborating with onboarding and risk teams.
  • Become an expert on the product and industry to advise clients and build high trust.
  • Continuously seek to understand clients more deeply and view challenges as growth opportunities.
  • Invest in personal growth through daily learning from reading, podcasts, and peers.
  • Adapt to constant change in a fast-growing company.
