About The Position

The Smart Services Project Engineer will provide technical support and guidance to the Smart Services team, focusing on fluid management equipment. This role involves leading new Smart Services projects from design and installation at customer facilities to ensuring efficient system repairs. The engineer will also be responsible for documentation, maintenance planning, and driving initiatives to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or related field
  • 3 years of related experience
  • Experience managing hydraulic actuators and major assembly production inventory and consumable inventory utilizing ERP Software (JD Edwards)
  • Experience creating Standard Operating Procedures and major assembly Work Instructions for hydraulic actuators and major assemblies (landing gear systems)
  • Experience contributing to the design of hydraulic actuators and testing systems, including plant layout, Bill of Materials (BOM), and production process flow design
  • Experience planning production material requirements for hydraulic actuators and major assembly utilizing ERP Software
  • Experience utilizing CAD software (CATIA) to create engineering drawings and 3D models for hydraulic actuators, major landing gear assemblies, and electrical wiring for aircraft control systems
  • Must live within normal commuting distance of worksite.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and guidance to the Smart Services team pertaining to fluid management equipment.
  • Lead new Smart Services projects to design and install fluid management equipment at customer metal working or parts manufacturing facilities.
  • Work with the Engineering team to design equipment layouts and configurations.
  • Lead projects including system design, quoting, procurement, and installation.
  • Coordinate and schedule personnel and components to ensure system repairs are conducted on site safely and efficiently.
  • Document and maintain SOP, work instructions, and keep up to date system configurations.
  • Create maintenance control plans and maintain critical spare part inventories.
  • Drive maintenance initiatives to improve equipment operating performance and reduce downtime.
