About The Position

Siemens Smart Buildings Internship Program is seeking a Smart Security Sales Intern for Summer 2027. This internship offers hands-on experience, real-world skills, and professional development in the field of security sales. The program aims to develop future talent for Siemens and help interns identify career paths within the organization post-graduation. The role involves working with Sales Managers and Sales Executives, assisting with lead generation, sales presentations, CRM data management, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Interns will also rotate through core business segments including Building Automation, Fire/Life Safety, Security, and Energy/Sustainability Systems.

Requirements

  • Must be current enrollment as an undergraduate at an accredited 4-year U.S. college or university.
  • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Energy/Sustainability, Built Environment, Construction Management or Business Administration, Sales/Marketing with a strong technical engineering aptitude.
  • Ability to work 40-hours per week for the 10-week program (May - July or June - August).
  • Candidates must have their own reliable transportation to get to and from customer locations beyond just commuting to the office.
  • Must be willing and able to work at the branch office location and surrounding local area.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company or school sponsorship. This program does not support students on a Visa such as F1, J1, M1 and H1B as well as OPT/CPT.

  • Participation in a school sponsored sales engineering club/organization, pursuing a professional sales certificate or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Position Siemens as an industry leader among service providers, leveraging Siemens world-class digital service delivery as a key differentiator.
  • Collaborate with operations and internal teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
  • Help prospect for new customers and engage with existing customers on new offerings.
  • Visit customer sites with both Solutions and Services Sales Teams.
  • Develop value-based proposals, estimates, specifications, and presentations.
  • Work with operations, finance, legal and other inside and outside resources to obtain the sale.
  • Attend job take-offs and turnover meetings.
  • Actively participate in sales department meetings, workshops, and seminars to stay knowledgeable on current market, business, and product trends.

Benefits

  • The hourly pay range for this position is $24 - $28 per hour, based off of your projected graduation year.
