About The Position

This internship program aims to develop future talent for the Siemens organization and help interns identify potential career paths within Siemens post-graduation. The intern will work alongside Sales Managers and Sales Executives in the local branch office, assisting with lead generation, prospecting, and account outreach. Responsibilities include supporting sales presentations and proposals, managing CRM data, shadowing sales calls, collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing sales performance data, and participating in team meetings. The role also involves rotating through core business segments such as Building Automation, Fire/Life Safety, Security, and Energy/Sustainability Systems. The goal is to position Siemens as an industry leader in service provision, collaborate with internal teams for customer outcomes, prospect new customers, engage existing ones, develop proposals, and attend job take-offs and turnover meetings.

Requirements

  • Must be current enrollment as an undergraduate at an accredited 4-year U.S. college or university.
  • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Energy/Sustainability, Built Environment, Construction Management or Business Administration, Sales/Marketing with a strong technical engineering aptitude.
  • Ability to work 40-hours per week for the 10-week program (May - July or June - August).
  • No relocation assistance or housing stipend is provided. Must be willing and able to work at the branch office location and surrounding local area.
  • Eligible candidate must be located within 50 miles of office location with access to a reliable vehicle, as this role does not provide transportation, housing or relocation support.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company or school sponsorship. This program does not support students on a Visa such as F1, J1, M1 and H1B as well as OPT/CPT.

Responsibilities

  • Position Siemens as an industry leader among service providers, leveraging Siemens world-class digital service delivery as a key differentiator.
  • Collaborate with operations and internal teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
  • Help prospect for new customers and engage with existing customers on new offerings.
  • Visit customer sites with both Solutions and Services Sales Teams.
  • Develop value-based proposals, estimates, specifications, and presentations.
  • Work with operations, finance, legal and other inside and outside resources to obtain the sale.
  • Attend job take-offs and turnover meetings.
  • Actively participate in sales department meetings, workshops, and seminars to stay knowledgeable on current market, business, and product trends.
  • Work alongside Sales Managers and Sales Executives within the local branch office.
  • Assist the sales team with lead generation, prospecting, and account outreach.
  • Support the preparation of sales presentations, proposals, and reports.
  • Help manage CRM data by tracking leads and maintaining data accuracy.
  • Shadow sales calls and meetings to learn effective sales techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, other business units, departments, etc.) to support customer engagement.
  • Analyze sales performance data and provide insights into driving growth.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute creative ideas for improving sales processes.
  • Participate in sales related activities (learning how to prospect, go-to-market, build B2B relationships, on-the-job training and shadowing, etc.).
  • Rotate through our core business segments, which include Building Automation, Fire/Life Safety, Security and Energy/Sustainability Systems.

Benefits

  • Hourly pay range of $24 - $28 per hour.
