Requirements

  • Must be knowledgeable about and follow the company’s safety policies and procedures as described in the company’s safety manual.
  • Less than High School Diploma.
  • Three or more years related construction experience preferred.
  • Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily productive/technical nature.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers.
  • Ability to perceive attributes of objects and materials.
  • Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States of America to qualify for employment with the Company.
  • Candidates are required to complete and pass a drug screen to be considered for employment with Webber.
  • Candidates are required to complete and pass a medical exam to ensure physical and/or mental capacity to complete the tasks required by the job.

Responsibilities

  • Operates a self-propelled machine which may either lay curb and gutter, median safety barrier or bridge rail.
  • Install and use instruments such as lasers, grade rods, and transit levels.
  • Manipulates hand or foot levers to control movements of the machine.
  • Raises or lowers screed and regulates width of screed.
  • Signal truck drivers to position trucks for pouring concrete and move chute to direct concrete on forms.
  • Check the forms that hold the concrete to see that they are properly constructed.
  • May oil, grease, or otherwise service the machine.
  • Make necessary adjustments to equipment as needed.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
  • Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
