As a Small Slipform Operator, you will be part of this innovative team, operating a self-propelled machine to lay curb and gutter, median safety barrier, or bridge rail.

Requirements

  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers.
  • Ability to perceive attributes of objects and materials.
  • Eligibility for employment in the United States.
  • Complete and pass a drug screen.
  • Complete and pass a medical exam to ensure physical and/or mental capacity to complete the tasks required by the job (for field positions).
  • Completion of a background check (for some positions).

  • Three or more years related construction experience.

Responsibilities

  • Install and use instruments such as lasers, grade rods, and transit levels.
  • Manipulate hand or foot levers to control movements of the machine.
  • Raise or lower screed and regulate width of screed.
  • Signal truck drivers to position trucks for pouring concrete and move chute to direct concrete on forms.
  • Check the forms that hold the concrete to see that they are properly constructed.
  • May oil, grease, or otherwise service the machine.
  • Make necessary adjustments to equipment as needed.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
  • Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
