About The Position

Gainwell Technologies is hiring a Small Provider Billing Specialist to support its Small Provider Billing and Training program. The role helps providers participate in the program and bill the Medi-Cal program successfully, contributing to technology-enabled services that improve the health and well-being of the members Gainwell serves. This is a full-time hybrid position. Candidates must reside within 35 miles of West Sacramento, California, and be available to work onsite as needed. The listed annual pay range is $31,200 to $44,500; the base pay offered may vary based on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Requirements

At least one year of experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Two or more years of customer service experience.
Knowledge of healthcare billing and medical claim forms, preferably Medi-Cal.
Experience providing verbal instructions to customers.
Experience working with Microsoft products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Business and analytical problem-solving skills.
Communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Ability to follow oral and written directions.
Ability to be flexible.
Must reside within 35 miles of West Sacramento, California, and be available to work onsite as needed.

Responsibilities

Recruit qualified providers to participate in the Small Provider Billing and Training program.
Instruct providers on how to successfully bill the Medi-Cal program.
Review and correct providers’ claims before adjudication.
Provide telephone support to enrolled providers.
