About The Position

The Small Group Associate Account Executive is a critical role within the sales team, supporting sales processes and working closely with Account Executives. This position is responsible for assisting Account Executives with client communications, tracking sales activities, and preparing sales materials. The position is accountable for cross team collaboration, conducting market research, identifying cross sell opportunities, and supporting onboarding and renewal processes. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days/week in office in Boise, ID. Candidates must reside within commutable distance of that location or be willing to relocate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field and 0-3 years of experience in direct sales customer service or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be currently licensed, or must become licensed within 90 days of hire, to sell insurance (health, life, and/or disability) in the state(s) where business is conducted.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Deep health plan industry knowledge
  • Strong market research experience.
  • Demonstrates strong relationship management skills.
  • Ability to engage in community/networking opportunities outside of normal business hours.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales results.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to adapt to fast paced dynamic business environments.
  • Must have a wired internet connection that is not satellite or cellular and internet service with a minimum upload speed of 5Mb and a minimum download speed of 10 Mb.
  • Access to a personal mobile device to set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) upon joining the company.

Responsibilities

  • Identify potential business opportunities and assist in developing effective sales strategies for supported accounts.
  • Support the sales team with creating presentations, proposals and other sales materials including conducting research and analyzing data.
  • Assists in product recommendations, client renewals, and implementations.
  • Build and maintain client and broker relationships; maintain active records of sales activities including client interactions, meeting outcomes and sales metrics.
  • Effectively works within a team environment and able to work with cross functional teams.
  • Coordinate meetings, organize client documentation schedule appointments and arrange travel logistics.
  • Create, plan and execute business and social events to build relationships with key community members and clients.
