About The Position

Digital Room is hiring a Small Bindery Operator for its plant in Brook Park, Ohio. The operator uses the IMS program to prioritize jobs and plan the day’s workload, determines the required hole size from the gang sheet, and sets up and monitors a drill hole machine. The operator makes adjustments as needed, checks drilled holes for accuracy and quality, and packs completed jobs in designated boxes. The role also involves entering production information into IMS, promptly reporting workplace hazards, and maintaining equipment, tools, and workstations in safe working order. Availability for overtime based on business needs and completing other assigned duties are required.

Requirements

At least 6 months of packing experience.

Ability to safely use hand and power tools.

Ability to recognize safety issues and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

Use the IMS program to determine job priorities and set the daily workload.
Determine the hole size required for a job based on its gang sheet.
Set up and monitor the drill hole machine, making adjustments to ensure smooth and accurate drilling.
Inspect drilled holes for accuracy and quality before packing jobs in designated boxes.
Record production and operational data in IMS, including entering completed jobs.
Report workplace hazards to management immediately.
Ensure equipment, tools, and workstations are in good working order and free of safety hazards.
Be available for overtime when required by business needs.
Complete other duties as assigned.
