About The Position

Digital Room is hiring a Small Bindery Operator for its plant in Brook Park, Ohio. The role involves prioritizing daily jobs through the IMS program, setting up and monitoring a drill hole machine, inspecting finished work for accuracy and quality, and recording production data. The operator is also responsible for maintaining safe, orderly work areas and equipment, reporting hazards, and taking on other assigned duties. Overtime may be required based on business needs.

Requirements

At least 6 months of packing experience.
Good problem-solving skills.
Good organizational skills.

Good communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with management and team members.
Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
Ability to multitask as priorities change.
Ability to recognize safety issues and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

Access the IMS program to determine job priorities and set the day's workload.
Determine the required hole size according to the gang sheet.
Set up and monitor the drill hole machine, making adjustments as needed to ensure holes are drilled smoothly and accurately.
Inspect drilled jobs for accuracy and quality before packing them in the designated box.
Record production and operational data in the IMS system, including entering completed jobs.
Report workplace hazards to management immediately.
Ensure equipment, tools, and workstations are in good working order and free of safety hazards.
Be available for overtime as required by business needs.
Proactively complete other duties as assigned.
