About The Position

The Department of Clinical Sciences at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Auburn University, is seeking applicants to fill a full-time, non-tenure, 12-months/year appointment as a Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor or Professor of Practice in small animal internal medicine at Auburn Veterinary Specialists at Gulf Shores, Alabama. The referral hospital provides services in dermatology, internal medicine, ophthalmology, and surgery and participates in the educational mission of the College of Veterinary Medicine, providing focused clinical instruction to senior veterinary students, interns, and residents and continuing education programs for veterinarians.

Requirements

  • DVM or equivalent degree.
  • Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) at the time employment begins.
  • Experienced internist.
  • Knowledgeable in the operation of a robust internal medicine service in private practice or academia.
  • High level of self-motivation.
  • Team-builder committed to practicing compassionate high-quality medicine.
  • Able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment.
  • Eligibility for faculty veterinary licensure in the State of Alabama.
