About The Position

The Slots Floor Attendant is responsible for processing jackpot wins, ensuring machines are operational, and providing excellent guest service on the slot floor. This role involves supervising jackpot authorizations and payouts, maintaining machine readiness by refilling ticket paper, and addressing minor machine malfunctions. The attendant also acts as a liaison between guests and supervisors/mechanics, ensuring guest needs are met and promoting positive guest relations. Additionally, the role contributes to floor security by reporting suspicious activity and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the slot floor. A key aspect of the job is staying knowledgeable about gaming laws and property policies, as well as promoting departmental and property-wide promotions.

Requirements

Must be able to routinely lift or move up to 25 pounds.
Must be at least 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
No slot floor experience necessary.

Responsibilities

Processes jackpot wins and notifies the Shift Supervisor as needed.
Supervises necessary authorization (request for jackpot) and pay out of hand-paid jackpots in accordance with policy.
Ensures that slot machines are filled with ticket paper, so as to keep machines in constant operation.
Services minor machine and printer malfunctions.
Notifies slot supervisors, Shift Managers, or slot mechanics of guest needs and requests, follows up to ensure positive guest relations.
Assists in maintaining slot floor security by notifying department heads of any suspicious activity.
Maintains current knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, compact, etc.) and attendant regulations, as well as the property’s internal controls, policies and procedures.
Promotes departmental and property-wide promotions with all guests.
Promotes positive guest relations through prompt, courteous and efficient service.
Maintains the cleanliness of the slot floor by clearing empty cups and glasses, replacing dirty ashtrays, wiping down machines and pushing in slot chairs.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
