About The Position

The Slot Technician I maintains and repairs all electronic slot equipment in a timely and efficient manner. This role involves adjusting and repairing slot machines, replacing worn or defective electrical or mechanical parts, and assisting in the testing, bench-repairs, and evaluation of slot machine monitors. The technician will also maintain other casino electronic devices, conduct general maintenance and service on all machines and equipment, examine defective machines to diagnose malfunctions, conduct daily inspections, and participate in the programming or repair of progressive gaming and other electronic displays. Additionally, the role requires displaying a positive attitude, complying with company policies, being punctual, understanding and complying with relevant regulations, and performing all job functions safely and responsibly.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certification required.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Basic computer experience skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous casino slot technician experience preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an Iowa Gaming License.

Responsibilities

  • Adjust and repair slot machines, replacing worn or defective electrical or mechanical parts, using hand tools.
  • Use of tech card.
  • Assist in testing, bench-repairs, and evaluation of slot machine monitors.
  • Maintain other casino electronic devices.
  • Conduct general maintenance and service on all machines and equipment.
  • Assist in examine defective machines to diagnose causes of malfunctions.
  • Conduct daily inspections of machines and equipment.
  • Participate in the programming or repair of progressive gaming and other electronic displays.
  • Display a positive attitude towards guests and co-workers.
  • Comply with company and department policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for clocking in and out on time according to work schedule.
  • Maintain and understand compliance with IRGC, federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Perform all job functions safely and responsibly.
