About The Position

The Slot Technician is responsible for greeting and welcoming customers, assisting them in a way that creates goodwill and a friendly attitude, and maintaining video machines in accordance with established procedures. This role works variable shifts as assigned by the Supervisor, including rotating and odd shifts. Requirements

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
Must be computer literate.
Ability to inform and communicate orally and in writing in diverse and challenging situations is required.
Demonstrated mechanical capabilities, and experience.
Must pass an extensive background security check with no money related felony convictions within the past ten (10) years and no money related record of criminal convictions of any kind in the past five (5) years other than traffic violations.
Ability to communicate in English with customers, co-workers and Management is required.
Ability to process information effectively to learn new materials, identify, and define problems and to make decisions is required.
Ability to prioritize and accomplish tasks within strict deadlines.
Must possess ability to interact with the public and fellow employees, demonstrating respect, tact, courtesy, objectivity, and maturity to develop an effective and cooperative working relationship.
Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters.
Able to hear and speak effectively in a noisy environment.
Must meet requirements to qualify for a Bishop Paiute Gaming License.
Must pass an extensive background check.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience preferred.
Preference will be given to personnel with experience in electro-mechanical, video and electronic equipment repair and maintenance.
Knowledge of standard and accepted (video department) methods and procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, fast, and helpful customer service to all guests and Team Members.
Ensure regulatory compliance with all aspects of slot machine maintenance i.e., moves, conversions, and repair.
Ensure functionality of the slot maintenance system.
Interact with Slot Operations personnel guests while repairing slot machine functions.
Assist with slot layout and installation.
Work on special projects as assigned.
Assist in maintaining adequate stock of parts necessary for repairs.
Perform preventative maintenance, clean, inspect, adjust, and test various machine parts.
Perform floor maintenance, trouble shoot and repair machine malfunctions and system problems as they occur during gaming.
Assist customers with questions and complaints regarding slot machines.
Provide answers and explanations and rectify problems as appropriate.
Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris and litter.
Must adhere to regulatory, department and company policies.
Other duties as assigned by Management.
